FAQs

  • I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy! In many cases therapy can provide relief, improved mood, clearer judgment, and attainment of personal goals.

If you are someone who worries a lot, loses focus or the motivation to to things, falls off track, or finds themselves stuck in the same never-ending cycle of self-doubt, I can teach you how to ditch the overwhelm and find your balance.

This is achieved by using an evidence-based approach that will help connect you to you. Our time together is spent exploring roots of distress and preventing burnout through learning boundaries, finding sustainable routines, using humor, and focusing on building a joyful future. Sometimes this can look like talking about your day-to-day stuff, or digging in deep, or even just venting about the people in your life that just don't get it.

  • You can send me a message with the form below or call 443-371-3801 to set up a 15-20 minute discovery call. During this call, you can learn more about me, my services, and my approach. We will review your goals and best options for your needs. I understand the importance of having a good fit and want you to feel comfortable with me.

If after the call you decide to move forward, we will set up a time for an intake and evaluation. If for any reason, you do not wish to move forward, I can provide referrals upon request.

  • Our initial session will last for one hour and subsequent sessions will be 45-60 minutes. While most patients engage in weekly therapy, your frequency will be determined between you and I during your intake.

  • Currently, I am 100% telehealth and sessions are held on a HIPAA compliant platform.

I also offer walk and talk therapy and home visits at different rates. Please contact me for more details.

  • I am am now a private pay therapist for many reasons. Being private pay means:

Zero treatment interruptions. With insurance, they can decide to stop covering therapy sessions at any time. With private pay, treatment decisions will be up to you and your therapist.

More privacy. Health insurance companies can request to review therapy records and any/all diagnoses become a permanent part of your medical record. This is especially problematic for anyone in the armed forced, fire fighters, pilots, and anyone in politics.

More flexibility. Your insurance does not dictate how many sessions you can have or how long sessions need to be.

Fully focused care. Insurance is notoriously time consuming and don’t always pay therapists fairly. This means a therapist has to do more work and see more people in order to make a living when being paneled with insurance.

If you want support navigating your out of network benefits you can use TheSuperbill. This company takes care of submitting the claims and superbills for you.

    Your rights:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
